Jonathan Davis (Editor and Publisher)

Jonathan Davis, 53, is a columnist on The Financial Times, a regular contributor to The Spectator and the author of three books on investment. He is the founder of Independent Investor LLP. From 1995-2007 he wrote a regular column on investment for The Independent. 

A graduate of Cambridge University and MIT, where he studied the methods of Warren Buffett for a thesis, his areas of expertise include asset allocation, fund selection and style analysis. His early career was spent as a senior business journalist on The Times, The Economist and The Sunday Telegraph. He has been chairman of the Savile Club in London since 2002.

Julian Simmonds is an international marketing and joint venture consultant. During the last 25 years, Julian has focused on strategic communications and international alliance strategies involving launch plans, media presentations, conference and event planning for both the public and private sector. He has worked extensively in the USA, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Japan, Vietnam and Australia.

Julian is a specialist in running cross-cultural workshops on Leadership, Communication, Innovation and Creativity. Clients in 2007 include; Mazda, AON, Euroclear Bank, British Consulate-General and UK Trade & Investment. He is an adjunct professor at Stanford University, UC Santa Cruz, CSU East Bay, Oxford Brookes, Bristol University and the Hong Kong Management Association.
