So the UK has voted for Brexit: what next? Voters have delivered a notable snub to the economic and political Establishment and generated a period of uncertainty. With both the Tories and Labour embroiled in leadership campaigns, sensible investors need to look through the public posturing to try to understand the significance of what has happened and where this is likely to lead. To that end I am running a series of podcasts to look behind all the emotive language and tap into a range of independent professional opinion – what if anything, given the uncertainty, can we say about what comes next? First up is the economist Dr Peter Warburton, one of the few to foresee the global banking crisis and an authority on global inflation trends. You can hear my podcast interview by following this link to the Money Makers website. He will be followed by Prof John Kay, the author and columnist, and one of the UK’s leading business economists, and Ken Fisher, the West Coast money manager who runs a UK wealth management firm. Further interviews will be added later this week. All the podcasts are free to hear. I will be adding my own thoughts at the end of the series.
